Matawan Montessori

Our admissions process is a way for you to get to know our school. We encourage an in-class observation, which includes an overview of the Montessori philosophy and a chance to spend time in our classrooms to see them in practice.

Below are the steps for our application process. Feel free to contact us if you have questions or would like to begin the process.

    1. SCHEDULE A TOUR

Prospective parents may schedule a tour by calling the school at (732)-970-4670 or by our online web contact page. An admissions staff will conduct a tour of the school facilities and explain the Montessori philosophy. We will include an in-class observation where parents will sit in during a work period to see the environment in action. The admission staff member will be happy to answer any questions at the end of the observation.

    2. COMPLETE THE ENROLLMENT APPLICATION

Our online application form can be found below. Families can fill out information online and receive a confirmation from our administration within the next two business days. The school will also required a completed Universal Health Form from you child's pediatrician (please make sure your child has all his/her vaccinations and Immunizations complete).  

    3. ARRANGE YOUR CHILD TO VISIT

            Once we receive your application form, children will be invited to come and visit with one of our teachers for an informal development assessment.

    4. ADMISSION DECISION

       Admission to the Matawan Montessori will be determined. When individual classrooms reach their capacity, children may be added to the waiting list.

Families are asked to enroll their children through the completion of the primary program (through their kindergarten year).
